A Bluesky repost is a record created by your account that points to another post. Removing your repost removes that reshare from your account; it does not delete the original author's post.
BskyDelete's Reposts workspace can load supported repost records, filter the list, let you inspect and select records, optionally export the selected rows on a paid plan, and submit the confirmed deletion requests. It does not choose reposts or delete them automatically.
Review Reposts Before Deleting
Decide why you are reviewing the list before applying a broad filter. You might be looking for reposts from a period, a particular author, a keyword, or a topic that is no longer relevant to your account. A match is only a review candidate; read the referenced post and context before selecting it.
Deleting a repost cannot be undone by BskyDelete. A CSV export can preserve details of selected rows for reference, but it is not a restore file and does not recreate a deleted repost.
Delete Selected Reposts Step by Step
- Connect the Bluesky account through OAuth. Do not enter a Bluesky App Password into BskyDelete.
- Open Reposts and wait for the available records to load.
- Use keyword, author, and date filters to narrow the list.
- Pro users can additionally filter public like, repost, and reply count ranges, mentioned users, and hashtags.
- Inspect every matching record and select only the reposts you intend to remove. Recheck the active filters and selected count before confirming.
- If you need a reference, export the selected records before deletion with a paid plan.
- Confirm the selected deletion and review which requests succeeded or failed.
Requests are processed in batches. Completion time depends on the number selected, Bluesky API limits, retries, and temporary service conditions. Use a small batch to test a new filter combination and check partial failures before retrying.
What a Repost Deletion Changes
The AT Protocol defines a repost as an app.bsky.feed.repost record that references another post. Deleting that record removes your reshare record only. The original post remains under its author's control.
A like, reply, or quote post created by your account is a separate record and is not removed with the repost. If your review includes those activities, handle each one in its corresponding workspace instead of assuming one deletion covers them all. After a confirmed batch, reload Reposts and check the records that remain; the exported CSV and the original selection count are references, not a substitute for verifying the current Bluesky state.
Keep Workspace Capabilities Separate
Reposts contains filters relevant to repost records. The suspicious-bot score and inactive-account filter belong to the Pro Following workspace and use public-profile heuristics. They are not Reposts filters and do not determine whether a repost should be deleted.
BskyDelete also does not keep historical unfollower records, provide follower analytics, run scheduled cleanup rules, or perform bulk following. Those unrelated capabilities should not be inferred from the Reposts workflow.
Quotas and Final Checks
The Free plan can complete up to 30 successful delete or unfollow operations per local calendar day across supported workspaces. Paid plans remove BskyDelete's daily quota, while Bluesky API limits and service availability still apply.
Before confirming, recheck the active filters, the selected count, and a sample from the beginning and end of the selection. After processing, refresh the records and verify the intended reposts are no longer present. This verifies the actual result instead of relying on a promise that every request will succeed.
